About the role

 

As the Cost Control Manager, you will lead the management of project costs across the Hunter Transmission Project delivery phase. You will provide strategic oversight of the cost function, ensuring robust cost control, accurate forecasting, and integrated financial performance aligned with regulatory and organisational requirements. Working closely with project controls and finance teams, you will lead the cost control team and drive reporting, governance and cost management processes for two major contracts, as well as Transgrid’s own scope of work, supporting informed decision-making and successful project delivery.

 

About You

 

  • Degree-qualified in finance, accounting, engineering or a related field, with experience in project controls within major infrastructure or utilities environments
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, forecasting, capital accounting, and reporting in large and complex infrastructure projects
  • Experience in financial reporting, governance and assurance, with exposure to AER reporting highly regarded
  • Proficiency in cost management systems, financial modelling and project reporting tools
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
