About the Role
The Contracts and Procurement Manager leads end-to-end procurement activities across the Hunter Transmission Project Delivery Phase, with primary responsibility for the procurement of long-lead equipment (LLE), while overseeing broader project procurement requirements, including supplier and consultant engagement.
Working closely with Corporate Procurement, project delivery teams, and key suppliers, the role drives procurement strategy, supplier management, contract negotiation and management, logistics coordination, and delivery assurance activities, ensuring procurement outcomes align with project objectives, governance requirements, schedule, quality, cost, compliance, and the LLE Procurement Management Plan.
About You
- Experience leading procurement and contract management activities within major infrastructure, utilities, energy, engineering, or large-scale construction project environments
- Demonstrated expertise managing procurement of complex, high-value, or long-lead equipment, including supplier engagement, contract negotiation, logistics coordination, and delivery oversight
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage procurement risk, drive value-for-money outcomes, and support project delivery objectives across complex stakeholder environments
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, probity, compliance, and contract management frameworks within regulated or large-scale project delivery organisations
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, commerce, law, business, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
