This newly created role will play a key part in lifting process discipline, governance, assurance and capability across the function, helping us improve how work is delivered in the field and across the broader business.
The Opportunity
This is a newly created leadership role within Construction, responsible for strengthening the systems, processes and governance that underpin safe, efficient and consistent project delivery.
Reporting to the Head of Construction, you will lead a small but diverse team and drive the uplift of construction process systems, assurance practices, capability development and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will work closely with leaders across Construction, Commissioning, Design, Quality and major project teams to improve how processes are defined, rolled out, adopted and embedded in the field.

A Day in the Life
- Lead and support a team focused on technical services, process uplift and governance across Construction
- Review, refine and improve construction systems, procedures and assurance frameworks
- Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Design, Quality and Project teams to align responsibilities and improve delivery consistency
- Drive change management and communication activities to support adoption of improved ways of working across the business
- Visit sites regularly to stay connected to field teams, understand what is working, and identify opportunities for improvement

You will play a central role in helping shift the function from a more informal, experience-led environment toward a more standardised, scalable and process-led operating model. Your work will directly support safer delivery, stronger quality outcomes, better field adoption and long-term capability uplift across the business.
About You
You are a technically credible leader with experience in regulated infrastructure, utilities, energy or similarly complex industrial environments. You bring a blend of people leadership, operational improvement and stakeholder engagement, and you know how to turn good process into practical outcomes on the ground.
You will ideally bring:
- An engineering or technical background, ideally within electrical, utilities, infrastructure or energy environments
- Experience in construction, commissioning, technical governance, assurance or process improvement
- Prior leadership experience, with the ability to coach, support and align diverse teams
- Strong change management capability and the ability to embed new ways of working
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work across field and corporate environments
- Experience in industries such as transmission, distribution, utilities, mining, oil & gas, renewables, BESS or broader energy infrastructure viewed favourably
