The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Delivery Manager to oversee the successful execution of large-scale construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of projects while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company requirements with a focus on our Substations.
As a key leadership position, you will be responsible for managing a large team of direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also be responsible for contractor and stakeholder management, risk assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes.

A Day in the Life at Transgrid
As a Construction Delivery Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage construction teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance expectations.
- Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, design, and procurement, to optimise construction workflows.
- Manage contractor performance, negotiations, and contractual obligations to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
About You & What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in construction management.
- Extensive experience in leading large-scale construction projects with strong planning and execution capabilities - background within Substations highly regarded.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
- Strong knowledge of WHS (Work Health & Safety) and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
