Join our Network business unit as a Connections Project Manager, Network Connections and help drive timely delivery of generation, storage, and load connection projects that power the future.  
 
Reporting to the Manager Network Connections, you’ll work closely with internal teams and engage with external stakeholders, including AEMO, customers, and technical consultants, to ensure efficient project delivery and a positive customer experience.
  
This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with flexibility for remote work. 
  
What You Will Be Responsible For 
  
As a trusted project manager, you will drive the successful delivery of generation, storage, and load connection projects in a dynamic and evolving environment. You’ll support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, compliance, and stakeholder engagement are always on track. 
 
You will also play a key role in shaping connection processes and reporting frameworks that support transparency and continuous improvement. 
 
Key accountabilities include: 

 

  • Manage the delivery of efficient, compliant, and customer-focused grid connection projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate scheduling, resources, and communications across internal teams and external stakeholders including AEMO, customers, and consultants.
  • Support procurement and contract management to ensure timely, cost-effective project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools that provide clear visibility of project progress, risks, and resource needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement and promote collaboration to enhance project outcomes and customer experience.

 

About You 
  
You are an organised and solutions-focused project manager with a passion for delivering outcomes that matter. Known for your ability to navigate complex environments and build strong relationships, you thrive in dynamic settings and bring clarity and confidence to every project.  
  
You bring: 

 

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Project Management qualifications at Diploma level or higher.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, ideally in network connections.
  • Strong understanding of the National Electricity Rules (NER), National Electricity Market (NEM), and the roles of NSP and AEMO.
  • Familiarity with integrating large-scale renewable generation and storage into transmission networks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
