About Us
Transgrid is leading the transition to Australia’s clean energy future. The traditional coal system is nearing the end of its life, to be replaced by wind and solar generation. As we re-wire the network to enable the transition to renewables, we continue to deliver safe and reliable electricity to millions through a growing transmission network which traverses properties owned by approximately 17,000 landowners.
The Opportunity
In your new role, you will manage enquiries, complaints, and commitments across multiple communication channels. Your responsibilities will include recording, reviewing, and triaging cases to ensure they are efficiently directed to the appropriate teams for resolution.
With your strong communication skills, you will coordinate clear and professional responses for diverse audiences, draft correspondence that articulates Transgrid’s position, and prepare communications to inform landowners about planned works, keeping stakeholders well-informed and engaged.
Our ideal candidate is highly skilled in time management, record-keeping, public relations, and negotiation. They excel in clear and effective communication and are adept at engaging with the community, internal subject matter experts, and external stakeholder organisations.

About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Community Engagement OR professional experience in a related community or public-facing role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills and diplomacy
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with a broad spectrum of people including landowners, members of the public, advocacy groups and government officers.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Accreditation in IAP2 practices and holding an Australian driver’s licence is desirable
