The Opportunity

Be part of a nation-building organisation delivering large-scale renewable energy and transmission projects. As our Community Engagement Lead, you’ll play a key role in building trust, securing social licence, and supporting the energy transition through proactive engagement with communities and stakeholders.
You’ll lead engagement activities across projects such as the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, developing and implementing engagement plans, managing community issues, crafting communications, and collaborating across teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver community and stakeholder engagement plans for major infrastructure projects.
- Build relationships and advocate for communities throughout project planning and delivery.
- Prepare clear, engaging communication materials including newsletters, updates and briefings.
- Identify and manage stakeholder risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and government to enable project success.
- Track engagement outcomes and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations or related field.
- 6+ years’ experience in community engagement for major infrastructure or construction projects.
- Proven skills in communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Strong ability to manage sensitive community issues and high-profile projects.
- IAP2 Foundations certification (preferred).
- NSW driver licence and White Card (or willingness to obtain).
