The Opportunity

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation delivering nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide reliable, on-demand energy and large-scale storage for generations to come.

 

Due to ongoing growth we are now looking to recruit a full time Assistant Company Secretary to join our team. Based in our Ultimo head office and reporting into our Company Secretary the role will be responsible for the following

 

  • Act as company secretary of various subsidiary companies in the Transgrid Group as required.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders as a trusted advisor. 
  • Actively contribute to team safety conversations and maintain Transgrid as a safe place to work. 
  • Be a thought leader on governance matters across the Group. 
  • Assist in managing the obligations of the Transgrid Group’s companies and their Directors under the Corporations Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Take a lead role in executing key Corporate Secretariat projects from time to time.

 

About you

 

We’re looking for individuals who bring most or all of the following:

  • This is an ideal role for a candidate hungry to grow in-role, gain experience and develop their skills. 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business or law. 
  • Specific governance qualifications are advantageous but not essential. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently
  • At least two years’ experience in governance-related roles.  This may include:
    • A secretariat role, in listed or unlisted companies;
    • An in-house legal role (including candidates from private practice with secondment experience);
    • A finance role which has involved interactions with Boards or Board Committees;
    • A risk management role which has involved experience with Boards or Board Committees;
    • A high-level administrative role supporting senior executives or directors.
