About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for self-motivated & dynamic individual to join the team at Transgrid as the Asset Portfolio Manager.
In your new position as the Asset Portfolio Manager, you will manage asset portfolios and sponsors investments in major projects, network development, and EnergyCo operations. You will provide strategic advice while leading commercial and technical improvements across the asset lifecycle for new network initiatives.
You will oversee investment sponsorship and asset portfolio management, providing strategic direction for a portfolio of major projects, network augmentation initiatives, and EnergyCo ventures valued at over $14 billion.
This role engages with key stakeholders and external clients to implement optimised solutions and asset strategies that enhance network performance. This includes collaborating closely with key external stakeholders, such as EnergyCo, and internal teams, including Executive Managers, Lumea, Major Project teams, Asset Managers, and Network Planning and Delivery teams.
This role is essential in driving optimal network development, asset management, and investment strategies to ensure effective and sustainable outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Commerce, Economics or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in relevant infrastructure investment and portfolio management roles.
The value you will bring to the team:
- Experience, ideally in High Voltage Substation and Transmission Line, technical and commercial roles across the asset lifecycle, including concept development, design, construction, operations and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience in the application of risk management to support asset management decision making and regulatory compliance
- Working knowledge in applying and managing the regulatory and compliance requirements relating to the asset management of high voltage transmission network, including the ISO55001 asset management systems, ENSMS and AS5577
- Ability to apply both technical and commercial evaluation of options for network developments and input to financial modelling
- Leadership experience in leading and managing technical teams
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to asset management of transmission infrastructure
- Knowledge of NEM development, including AEMO’s ISP and NSW EII Roadmap
- Awareness of the NER and NSW Regulatory Frameworks, including the RIT-T, CPAs and TET
