The Opportunity

 

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Asset Management System Engineer to join the Asset Management team on a permanent basis.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and continual improvement of TransGrid’s Asset Management and Electrical Safety Management Systems. 

 

You will monitor the continued effectiveness and regulatory compliance of TransGrid’s Asset Management and Electricity Network Safety Management Systems, as well as monitor the Asset Management compliance plan, audit plan, and reporting obligations for the Asset Management group.

 

Having knowledge and experience in engineering practice related to the design, construction, maintenance, operation and asset management of transmission network/assets is highly desirable.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

As an Asset Management System Engineer you will:

 

  • Develop and deploy asset management and awareness and communications materials through various channels
  • Continually improve the following key enablers of the Asset Management System - continual improvement, management of change, and asset management competency
  • Monitor and report on the Asset Management System and asset management practices to support best practise decision making that balances cost, risk and performance
  • Provide internal assurance of the effectiveness and appropriateness of the Management Systems in meeting TransGrid’s regulatory objectives
  • Monitor and develop stakeholder communication framework processes and documents in compliance with the Electricity Network Safety Management System
  • Continually monitor and review changes to the regulatory and legislative landscape in NSW, ACT and Victoria to ensure they are understood and reflected in current processes
  • Complete Asset Management and Electricity Management System reporting for NSW, ACT and Victorian jurisdictions

 

 

Skills & Experience

 

To be successful in the role you will have:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in an appropriate discipline
  • Awareness in the asset lifecycle management and systems to support and meet ISO 55001 requirements
  • Ability to understand internal and external stakeholder requirements and develop awareness, communications and management strategies
  • Understanding of the role and requirements of planning and regulatory agencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Well-developed analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
  • Skills in relevant computer systems including spreadsheets, databases, and reporting
