About the Opportunity

 

We’re seeking an Asset Integration Engineer to join our team and shape the future of Australia’s high-voltage electricity network. In this role, you’ll provide specialist commercial and technical advice across the entire asset lifecycle, helping deliver optimised solutions that balance risk, performance, and cost.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Develop and review technical and commercial solutions across the asset lifecycle, from performance requirements to operations & maintenance.
  • Contribute to financial modelling, bids, regulatory submissions, and network performance incentive schemes.
  • Ensure asset concepts and designs comply with regulatory standards (ENSMS, AS5577) and align with Transgrid’s ISO55001-certified asset management system.
  • Provide guidance on design, construction, operation, maintenance, and renewal of high-voltage assets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset standards, processes, and adoption of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of network developments.

 

About You:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in high-voltage infrastructure (substations, transmission lines) across the asset lifecycle.
  • Skilled in risk management for asset decisions.
  • Able to review performance requirements, functional specs, and standards for technical and commercial impacts.
  • Experience contributing to financial models, bids, and regulatory submissions.
  • Awareness of National Electricity Market developments (AEMO ISP, NSW EII Roadmap).
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to produce persuasive reports.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
