Shape the future of Australia’s energy transition with Lumea

At Lumea, we are helping to build the infrastructure that powers a more sustainable, connected and prosperous future. As Australia’s energy landscape evolves, we are at the forefront of enabling transmission solutions, renewable energy integration, battery storage, and the infrastructure needed to support emerging industries and communities.

We are seeking a curious, commercially minded and analytical professional to join our growing team as an Analyst, Strategy & Market Development. This is an opportunity to work on some of the most significant opportunities in the energy sector while helping shape the strategic direction of a business that is driving the energy transition.

Why join Lumea?

This role offers far more than analysis and reporting. It is an opportunity to influence strategic decisions, contribute to major growth initiatives, and gain exposure to senior leaders across the business.

Working closely with the Director, Strategy & Market Development and the broader Origination & Development team, you will help transform data into insights, identify emerging market opportunities, and support decisions that create long-term value for our customers, stakeholders and communities.

You will work across strategy development, market intelligence, investment assessments, governance reporting and business growth initiatives, building a deep understanding of Australia's rapidly evolving energy market.

About the role

As the Analyst, Strategy & Market Development, you will strengthen the team's market intelligence, analytical and reporting capability, helping deliver strategic priorities for FY27 and beyond.

You will play a key role in providing data-driven insights, market analysis and governance-ready reporting that enables faster, smarter decision-making across the organisation.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Conducting market intelligence research, competitor analysis and regulatory monitoring.
  • Analysing industry trends across transmission, renewable energy, battery storage and emerging infrastructure sectors.
  • Developing dashboards, analytical tools and reporting frameworks using PowerBI, Excel and CRM data.
  • Supporting the preparation of strategy papers, business cases, investment submissions and Board materials.
  • Tracking strategic initiatives, risks, opportunities and program outcomes.

About you

You are someone who enjoys solving complex problems, uncovering insights from data, and translating analysis into meaningful business outcomes.

You bring:

  • 3–6 years' experience in strategy, consulting, energy markets, infrastructure, advisory or analytical roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
  • Experience developing dashboards, market assessments, business cases or strategic reports.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau or similar visualisation tools is advantageous.

Knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM), transmission infrastructure, renewable energy, battery storage or data centre markets will be highly regarded but is not essential.
