The Opportunity
 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager – Transmission Lines for our HumeLink East section of the project, leading efficient construction delivery services associated with Transgrids assets in full compliance with Transgrid policies and procedures and relevant safety and environmental legislation.

 

The position is accountable for the effective early planning and management and oversight of all construction work associated with transmission line and substation assets and ensures the efficient utilisation of resources to enable accurate estimating, delivery, and performance monitoring of internal and external projects.

 

The position is part of the senior leadership team within the project team and is a site-based role, ensuring all the construction activities are in compliance with either Transgrid or our Delivery Partner’s policies, procedures and Transgrid expectations.

 

About You

 

  • In depth knowledge of construction especially access tracks in challenging terrain, foundations and bench construction.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of construction activities, measurement of construction, review of civil works designs and quality assurance of civil works.
  • Possession of Electrical or civil trade certificate or relevant Engineering degree and extensive High Voltage construction experience
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of project management, construction, testing and commissioning of transmission assets
  • Knowledge in the application of WHS, preferably Cert IV in WHS and environmental legislation relative to duties of the position
  • Competent in the application of risk management methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that will facilitate the establishment of working relationships with stakeholders and peers
  • The ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce located over multiple work fronts
  • Resource and people management skills
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Demonstrable ability to implement organisational change
  • Frequent travel to established remote working locations on the project
