The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly capable and service-oriented Workplace Services Team Leader to lead the front-of-house and office support function at our Ultimo Head Office.
This is a hands-on leadership position that ensures the day-to-day operations of reception, visitor experience, meeting room services, and general workplace support run seamlessly. Leading a team of four staff across Ultimo and Darling Square, you’ll be responsible for creating a professional, safe, and efficient workplace that supports the needs of our people and our business.
You’ll also work closely with building management, executive assistants, and corporate stakeholders to manage office standards, solve operational issues, and contribute to a high-performing and service-focused office culture.
This role is based on-site five days per week, with occasional hybrid flexibility by exception.
A Day in the Life at Transgrid
On any given day, you might:
- Lead and support a team delivering front-of-house, reception, and visitor management services.
- Oversee meeting room readiness, event coordination, and executive-level support.
- Liaise with building management and vendors to resolve facilities issues and maintain office standards.
- Manage office systems such as mail distribution, security pass control, stationery, and catering logistics.
- Support administrative processes, records management and travel bookings for corporate and operational teams.
- Ensure the workplace environment reflects Transgrid’s safety, service, and presentation standards at all times.
About You
You are a confident, customer-focused professional with a background in office management, front-of-house leadership, executive assistance or practice management in complex, high-profile environments.
Your strong organisational skills are matched by your ability to manage people, solve problems, and maintain a calm, service-first approach under pressure. You thrive in dynamic environments and take pride in creating a polished and well-run workplace.
To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in workplace coordination, executive support or reception/FOH leadership within a corporate, government or regulated setting
- A warm, professional manner with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A strong understanding of facilities, WHS responsibilities and office operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, and familiarity with systems like TRIM or SharePoint (desirable)
