The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to lead risk management across a portfolio of projects. Reporting to Project Controls Manager, you will drive robust risk practices, deliver insights for informed decision-making, and continuously improve Transgrid’s risk processes. This role also involves mentoring and guiding project managers, engineers, and graduates, ensuring the team operates at the highest standards of performance and safety.
What You’ll Do
- Champion proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation across all project phases.
- Integrate risk with cost, schedule, and delivery objectives using advanced quantitative analysis.
- Deliver high-impact risk reporting to guide executive decision-making and investment planning.
- Strengthen enterprise risk frameworks, policies, and lessons learned across the portfolio.
- Facilitate dynamic risk workshops and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor project teams, engineers, and graduates—fostering a culture of excellence and safety.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and legislative standards.
About You
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project risk management, ideally within Tier 1 contractors or major infrastructure clients.
- Degree-qualified with desirable certifications (RMP, PRMP).
- Proven expertise in cost/schedule risk modelling and strategic reporting to senior leadership.
- Deep understanding of ISO31000 and risk control frameworks.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Skilled in tools such as CAMMS, ARM, Acumen Risk, Safran Risk, or Palisade @Risk.
- Background in auditing or risk roles within utilities, construction, or large corporates.
