Senior Project Engineer - Substations (Electrical)

This is an exciting opportunity to join HumeLink as a Senior Project Engineer, supporting the delivery of one of NSW’s largest transmission infrastructure projects. In this role, you will manage the project engineering function while supporting key aspects of project delivery within the broader project team. You will work closely with Senior Project Managers and Commissioning Manager to coordinate engineering activities across construction, commissioning and project close-out.

 

Key responsibilities include managing technical RFIs, leading quality and defect management processes, tracking schedule and cost performance, and supporting the commissioning team through technical reviews and management of project documentation within corporate systems.

 

Due to the nature of this role, travel will be required to project locations across regional NSW and occasionally interstate.

 

About You

 

•    Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
•    8+ years’ experience within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector
•    Strong technical understanding of high-voltage substation construction (highly desirable)
•    Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
•    Experience managing construction contracts and site-based activities (preferred)
•    Strong communication, coordination and report writing skills
•    High levels of professionalism, integrity and accountability
•    A valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
