The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to lead the development and management of complex project schedules, perform advanced Earned Value Assessments, and drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes and systems. Reporting to Project Controls Manager, you will play a significant role in enhancing project performance reporting, fostering strong stakeholder engagement, and supporting the Project Director and the team in delivering strategic outcomes and leading key initiatives.

 

As Transgrid’s subject matter expert in planning and scheduling, you will provide technical leadership, sets best-practice standards, and ensures alignment with organisational goals and delivery excellence.

 

  

What You’ll Do

 

  • Perform schedule progress reviews, conduct EV assessments, and deliver clear performance reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve scheduling conflicts, negotiate outcomes, and meet delivery targets.
  • Implement and enhance scheduling processes, tools, and reporting systems to ensure best practice and efficiency.
  • Uphold financial, audit, safety, and environmental standards in all activities.
  • Drive engagement with Transgrid’s vision and values, fostering a culture of performance, agility, and continuous improvement.

 

About You

 

  • Extensive experience in project planning, earned value, and schedule risk analysis within capital-intensive industries.
  • Background in engineering or construction project phases; power industry experience highly regarded.
  • Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and portfolio-level scheduling, Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
