The Opportunity
Transgrid is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to lead financial oversight and performance monitoring across a portfolio of projects.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you’ll support the team in providing accurate cost data, insightful analysis, and strategic recommendations to support high-impact decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead cost control processes, budget tracking, and financial forecasting.
- Deliver clear, actionable financial reports to guide project performance.
- Apply project cost controls, manage change requests, and identify opportunities to improve project financial performance.
- Manage risk registers, quantify contingencies, and monitor exposure.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Champion continuous improvement and team capability development.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Finance, Commerce, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- Proven experience in large-scale infrastructure projects including direct project/site involvement, cost controls, budget management, forecasting, and schedule alignment.
- Expertise in cost control, financial modelling, Earned Value, and data analysis.
- Skilled in Power BI and financial systems, with a proactive approach to learning Transgrid systems and tools.
