The Opportunity

Are you passionate about driving scalable, consistent, and strategic project delivery? Transgrid is seeking a Project Processes and Systems Lead to take ownership of integrating, improving, and documenting project systems and processes across our Category B Portfolio within the Delivery Business Unit.

 

This is a newly established opportunity to shape best practice within one of Australia’s leading energy infrastructure businesses. You’ll be at the forefront of standardising how we plan and execute critical infrastructure projects, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high-performance delivery across the board.

 

A Day in the Life at Transgrid

As the Project Processes and Systems Lead, you’ll play a central role in shaping how we deliver some of the nation’s most significant infrastructure projects. Your day will blend strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working across teams to embed effective, scalable processes that enable high performance. Your typical day might include:

  • Reviewing and improving project delivery processes to drive consistency across Category B projects.
  • Collaborating with project managers and technical leads to customise solutions for unique project needs.
  • Leading training sessions and mentoring team members on updated systems and tools.
  • Using PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric to optimise project reporting and support data-driven decision making.
  • Supporting gate reviews and ensuring compliance with audit, governance, and assurance frameworks.

 

About You

You bring a deep understanding of structured project environments and the ability to improve and embed processes that support scale and consistency. You're known for your strong communication and influencing skills, as well as your technical capability in tools like PowerBI and Microsoft 365. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process improvement within large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI, particularly in Microsoft Fabric environments.
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks and quality management systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and training delivery skills.
