The Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Delivery team and help drive the successful execution of capital works across NSW. In this role, you will lead the planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects that directly support Transgrid’s mission to enable the energy transition.

You’ll be joining a high-performing team responsible for safely managing critical projects on time and within budget, while working closely with engineering, commercial, planning, and construction teams to ensure seamless delivery. We are open to candidates based out of either, Sydney CBD, Eastern Creek, or Newcastle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from concept through to completion
• Leading multidisciplinary teams across a matrix delivery environment
• Driving performance against scope, time, cost, safety and quality benchmarks
• Supporting, coaching and mentoring Project Engineers and graduates

A Day in the Life at Transgrid

• Representing Transgrid in meetings with contractors and key stakeholders

About You

You’re an experienced project leader with a strong background in infrastructure delivery and a passion for building what matters. You’re confident working in a complex delivery environment, and your communication and stakeholder skills are second to none.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• A Diploma or higher-level qualification in Project Management
• Demonstrated experience managing major infrastructure or construction projects
• Strong commercial acumen, contract management skills, and team leadership capability
