The Opportunity
Reporting to the Project Commercial Manager, this role will support the project team plan, procure and manage the performance and relationships of all project suppliers, contractors and consultants. They will manage and coordinate the Project’s procurements needs and pipelines, working collaboratively with the whole project team.

You will be at the forefront of planning, procuring, and managing relationships with suppliers, contractors, and consultants. You have accountability for supplier performance management and relationship management process and governance.

In partnership with Project team and Transgrid Group Procurement you will develop procurement approaches aligned to category management strategies, ensuring the efficient procurement and delivery of materials and equipment

You will act with vision and purpose whilst driving commercial outcomes that leverages your awareness of delivery cycle times, and professional completion of work products.

You will provide advice and guidance on identifying suitable suppliers, consultants and contractors to meet project needs and requirements

You will inspire confidence and urgency within the group and across the Business Unit for the delivery of timely, high-quality service to internal and external customers, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
The value you will bring:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience

Experience with managing large procurements of >$200M in complex industries (e.g., electricity generation, mining, T&D, manufacturing, other linear infrastructure) in varying contracting delivery models and documentation

Experienced in the full procurement lifecycle including investigation, specification preparation, construction management, contract administration, contract negotiation and contract implementation

Contract negotiation and implementation experience on large D&C / EPC contracts is desirable.

High standard of communication and report writing skills, personal integrity, and professionalism

Knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and Government policy guidelines and strong analytical skills
