About the Role
As the Portfolio Planning Manager within our Major Projects PMO, you will lead integrated planning across a complex portfolio of transmission line construction projects. You will establish planning standards, maintain the master portfolio schedule, monitor performance, and provide early insights into risks, dependencies, and optimisation opportunities. Partnering with engineering, procurement, construction, and delivery teams, you’ll ensure strategic alignment, accurate forecasting, and effective resource planning that support successful delivery of multi-billion‑dollar programs. The position will be based in Ultimo, Sydney, with hybrid working arrangements.
About You
You bring deep planning expertise, a structured approach, and a collaborative mindset. You enjoy improving systems, coaching others, and translating complex scheduling data into clear insights that support high-quality decision‑making. Ideally, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in planning and scheduling within major capital or infrastructure projects
- Strong capability in Primavera P6, MS Project or similar planning tools
- Experience managing integrated schedules and analysing critical paths, dependencies, and risks
- Confidence working with resource forecasting, capacity planning and portfolio‑level insights
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and guide project teams.
