By joining the Hunter Transmission Project, you will be part of unlocking the electricity supply that will provide the backbone of NSW’s new electricity grid for generations to come. As coal-fired power stations close, the Hunter Transmission Project is critical for energy security in NSW.

The Opportunity
In your new role, you will strengthen relationships with Indigenous communities as we progress major projects that support Australia’s clean energy transition.
You will work closely with landholders, contractors, and community representatives to ensure respectful engagement, safe property access and clear communication throughout project development, land access, acquisition and construction. You will also help build cultural awareness across project teams and support accurate record‑keeping for all engagement activities.
Our ideal candidate will bring cultural insight, strong relationship‑building skills, and a commitment to supporting meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
About You
• Demonstrated understanding of the issues, experiences, and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• Proven ability to build effective, respectful relationships with Indigenous communities and diverse stakeholder groups
• Experience supporting or delivering culturally informed engagement across community, government, or project‑based environments
• Strong written communication and record‑keeping skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work confidently on complex or sensitive community matters
• A driver’s licence will be required as frequently travel to site is expected
