Company: TransGrid
Australia’s energy grid is transforming and the governance frameworks behind it need to keep pace. Join Transgrid, the backbone of NSW’s high-voltage transmission network, and play a central role in making sure our major infrastructure projects are delivered with the rigour, transparency and assurance they demand.
The Opportunity
As Governance Systems Advisor, you’ll be the engine room of project governance across Transgrid’s Delivery portfolio. Reporting to the Manager of Project Governance, you’ll maintain and continuously improve the systems, frameworks and reporting that underpin how we plan, assure and deliver capital projects worth billions of dollars.
You’ll be a trusted advisor to project teams, a sharp-eyed compliance monitor, and the go-to person for our Project Management Framework (PMF) and Project Hub. If you love structured systems, clear communication and making complex governance feel effortles, this is your role.
What you'll do
• Own and administer the PMF: artefacts, templates, registers, gate schedules and review cycles.
• Run the Project Hub (SharePoint) — document control, version integrity, accessibility.
• Conduct compliance checks to confirm gate readiness and decision alignment before project progression.
• Coordinate governance interfaces with the Assurance Team for audits, Independent Assurance Reviews and Health Checks.
• Build and maintain governance dashboards and portfolio-level reporting in Power BI.
• Analyse audit findings and review data to spot patterns, drive lessons learned and recommend framework improvements.
• Communicate governance changes, PMF updates and improvement initiatives clearly and proactively across stakeholders.
What you bring
• Working knowledge of project delivery lifecycles and PMF / stage-gate governance structures.
• Familiarity with PMBOK principles and ISO 9001 management system requirements.
• Experience supporting audit, assurance or compliance activities in a project environment.
• SharePoint administration and document control experience.
• Strong skills in Power BI, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation ability.
• A structured, detail-oriented mindset with genuine stakeholder coordination skills.
