The Opportunity
We are on the lookout for a passionate environmental planning leader to lead a small team to deliver high-quality environmental approvals across a variety of exciting projects. With your strong knowledge of NSW planning legislation and Division 5.1 of the EP&A Act experience, you’ll play a key role in shaping streamlined, best-practice processes that make a real impact.
In this role, you'll provide expert advice on environmental planning legislation, while also mentoring and supporting a high-performing team. You’ll foster a collaborative and feedback-driven culture, where development and innovation are front and centre. Your leadership will empower the team to deliver great results and grow along the way.

This role requires you to hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
A day in the life as an Environmental Planning Manager at Transgrid:
- Lead, develop and mentor a small team to deliver Division 5.1 environmental assessments.
- Review and provide technical advice on environmental approvals, including developing approval strategies
- Manage delivery of a works program including tracking milestones, budgets and communicating risks
- Streamline and implement efficient environmental approval processes to drive continuous improvement.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service.
About you
- Degree in environmental planning/management or related field.
- Knowledge of GIS and spatial analysis.
- Strong knowledge and experience with NSW environmental impact assessments (Part 5, Division 5.1 of the EP&A Act).
- Ability to deliver high volume and high quality work.
- Excellent communication and people leadership skills.
