The Opportunity

 

This in an unmissable opportunity for you to lead Transgrid’s Hunter Transmission Project as the Environmental Manager - Delivery.

 

You will lead a team that provides high quality, timely and pragmatic environmental and sustainability solutions during the delivery phase of the project. The team will work closely with Transgrid’s delivery partners to prepare and secure the secondary environmental approvals allowing the construction of this transformative project.

The value you will bring:

 

  • Degree qualification in Environmental Engineering/Engineering Science/Natural Resources Management or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation relevant to electricity networks or similar linear infrastructure and a range of corporate standards and procedures
  • Substantial experience in managing the development and implementation of environmental management plans (Construction Environmental Management Plans and subsidiary management plans) for large scale infrastructure projects or environmentally high-risk companies
  • Ability to effectively lead a team and manage external delivery partners, identify training requirements and determine appropriate means to enhance workforce skills and understanding
  • Extensive experience in providing assurance checks of various work practices, including reporting to regulators and regular reports to executives and other senior leaders
  • A current Australian drivers Licence
