The Opportunity
This is your chance to deliver major infrastructure projects at Transgrid as an Engineering Manager. As a key leader within the team, you will inspire confidence and urgency in delivering high-quality outcomes while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for leading high-performing design teams and driving commercial excellence in engineering delivery. You will optimise resource allocation, manage stakeholder engagement, and oversee compliance with financial, regulatory, and technical requirements.
You will make sure our dynamic, value-based team consistently delivers top-quality designs. By ensuring seamless technical interfaces across Transgrid, customers, and contractors, you will drive efficiency in project execution and spearhead Australia’s transition to a clean energy future.
About You
-
Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 10+ years in relevant high voltage infrastructure project development and delivery.

Experienced High Voltage practitioner with substation and transmission line knowledge and understanding is highly desirable.

Leadership experience in leading and managing high performing design and engineering teams.

Substantial knowledge and understanding of functional design areas and relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to the preparation of designs and specifications.

Working knowledge of design quality assurance processes to ensure that designs meet quality requirements.

Experienced in managing engineering requirements across large design and construct contracts. Works will involve both Transmission Lines and Substations

Excellent communication and report writing skills and advanced relationship management skills covering senior management, contractors and external design partners.
