The Opportunity
In your new role, you will be a trusted coach and mentor to our current and future workforce, helping our internal teams and Delivery Partners build the skills they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.
You will develop the Lineys of tomorrow by delivering accredited training programs and custom courses, using different methods and sharing your industry experience to suit the needs of our people. You will also help design and improve training materials to make sure they’re practical, relevant, and engaging.
This role can be based at any Transgrid depot - Eastern Creek, Newcastle, Orange, Tamworth, Yass or Wagga Wagga.
About You
Our ideal candidate has hands-on transmission lineworker experience, understands what good training looks like, is confident using internal systems, and communicates clearly to coach and mentor learners. They will also:
- Hold a Certificate III in ESI – Overhead Transmission and have practical experience working on transmission lines.
- Possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or be willing to obtain it within 6 months).
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage, motivate, and support others.
- Be organised and confident using company systems and technology.
- Act as a champion for safety and continuous improvement in all aspects of work.
- Show a proven ability to share knowledge and mentor peers, particularly apprentices.
