About Us
At Transgrid, our work improves the lives of millions – from lighting up sports fields, schools and homes, to powering the wheels of commerce and everything else in between. Now it’s your turn to make it happen.
This is an exciting time in the energy industry with the transition to renewable energy. Recent government policy documents outline plans to facilitate increasing transmission interconnection between states and development of renewable energy zones.
The Opportunity
In your new role, you will support the delivery of infrastructure, maintenance and renewable energy projects across NSW. This role is hands-on and dynamic, involving regular travel to substations, depots and project sites to ensure environmental compliance and provide practical advice.
You will support new renewable energy connections to the Transgrid network, including BESS, solar and wind projects across greenfield and brownfield sites. Working closely with internal teams, contractors and regulators, you will review environmental documentation, conduct site inspections, support environmental approvals, provide advice to project and field teams, and assist with asset replacement, refurbishment and maintenance activities.
Your expertise in environmental legislation, spatial systems and stakeholder engagement will help drive sustainable outcomes across our network.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have experience supporting construction, maintenance, utilities, transmission or renewable energy projects, including environmental compliance and site-based inspections. They will also bring:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of environmental and safety legislation relevant to electricity networks or similar infrastructure.
- Proficiency in spatial systems and software to support environmental planning and decision-making.
- Practical experience in environmental impact assessment and stakeholder engagement.
- A willingness and ability to travel frequently across NSW, including stays at regional sites.
