The opportunity

Looking to take your tech support skills to the next level? Join Transgrid as an EUC Desktop Support Officer at our Newcastle office and become a key player in keeping our teams connected and productive across NSW. You’ll be the friendly face of IT, solving problems, supporting users, and making sure everything runs smoothly. Whether it’s in the office, at remote sites, or in hybrid workspaces, you’ll be right where the action is.

 

In this role, you’ll provide second-level support across hardware, software, mobile devices, and meeting room technology. You’ll run tech bars, deliver onboarding and training, and work with vendors to keep systems performing at their best. About you

You’re a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments. You know how to stay calm under pressure and bring a positive, helpful attitude to every interaction. Whether you're troubleshooting a tricky issue or helping a new starter get set up, you’re all about making the experience smooth and stress-free. You’re great with people, quick to adapt, and always looking for ways to improve how things work. 

 

You’ll also bring:

  • At least 3 years of experience in desktop support, both onsite and remote 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, mobile devices, and conferencing tech like Microsoft Teams Rooms 
  • A calm and professional approach to solving problems 
  • Solid understanding of ITIL and ITSM practices 
  • Experience meeting service level agreements and delivering great customer service 
  • Flexibility to support tech rollouts, training sessions, and occasional out-of-hours support for senior leaders
