Application process
Step 1: Create a profile on our careers site here and sumit your application
Make sure you include your:
- Cover Letter
- Resume
Step 2: Screening process
We’ll review each application form, cover letter and resume thoroughly, and consider a variety of aspects such as academic achievements, relevant work experience, extracurricular activities or volunteer work.
Once we narrow down the selection of applicants, we will conduct initial phone interviews.
Step 3: Interview and assessment
If you are successfully shortlisted following the initial phone interview, you will be invited for another interview and / or to an assessment centre, depending on your location.
At this point, it’s a good idea to start thinking about:
- the reasons why you want to join TransGrid
- which sector or business unit/stream you’re most interested in and think you’re most suited to
- any work experience or previous study you’ve done that is relevant to that sector
Step 4: Pre-employment checks
If you are successful at the assessment centre and/or interview, we may invite you to undergo pre-employment checks. These include reference, medical and police checks, and psychometric testing.
Please note this stage does not mean you have been successful – but it does mean you are one step closer!
Step 5: Offer of employment
If you are successful – congratulations!
You will receive a telephone call from one of our recruitment advisors, who will talk you through everything you need to know about joining TransGrid. You will then receive all relevant documentation including a letter of offer and contract via email.
